Pilrig St Paul’s (Church of Scotland)

Pilrig St Paul’s opens right on to Leith Walk, and was formed in 1998 by the union of Pilrig Church and St Paul’s Dalmeny Street.   Our Minister is Rev. John M. Tait.

Services: Sunday at 11 am

Open Doorway Tuesday and Thursday: From 11 am to 1 pm, we serve tea, coffee and biscuits in the ‘Open Doorway’. the attractive entrance area which opens on to Leith Walk.  Passers-by are welcome to come in for a friendly chat, or to visit the church.  During the Edinburgh Festival, lunch is served in the cafe at the back of the church from 11.30 to 2 pm.  All welcome!

Sing Together!  Singchronicity Youth Choir is for Primary 6 – S3 children. The group meets on Wednesdays from 4-5.30pm and is working towards a performance of our production of Grease – see our own website for this, and other concerts or musical events.  Leith Festival at Pilrig St Paul’s:  in 2011 we hosted Leith’s own Question Time: ‘Making Leith a Paradise for Children’.  Tuesday 14 June, 8 pm.  Part of the Leith Festival, with guest panellists Margo Macdonald MSP, Bill Stevenson (Chief Executive, Boys’ Brigade), Mo Airnes (Youth worker, Leith Acorn Centre YMCA), Steve Gilhooley (Headteacher, St Mary’s RC Primary).
